This is a COMPLETE and up-to-date listing of all Byterapers releases on the Amiga ever. Except for one demo, every single released and even a few unreleased things are here for you, dear fan, friend or otherwise interested person, to familiarize with.

The one missing demo is the first (B) Amiga-demo, coded by Shogun in april 1988 and released in Digitize Design Group Digiparty'88. We'd be very happy if someone checked their disk-piles and contributed it here. Also there's that slight possibility that someone has released something, which never entered our disk-collections or was completely missed by others. If you feel that you've seen something not listed here, tell us.

Very big thanks must go to Asle, whose Backstage of Amiga Demos page has been of utmost value when updating this page. His Byterapers product page included new information, screenshots, scrolltexts and musics from the (B) products, and helped really really much. You've done GREAT work pal!

Send feedback, questions or our first Amiga-demo to Grendel

"Vipuvapu partygame"

Release date: 1990
Code: Proton
Co-coding: Hassan
Music: Turtle, the man with his dog
Graphics: Rodder

The partygame for joystick maniacs - if this won't break your stick, then nothing's gonna do it. Designed SPECIALLY for parties and joystick-waggling competitions, keeping count and saving high-scores. This was supposed to be one competition thing in Byterapers Party in Iisalmi summer 1990, but its sources destroyed right before party and despite tough coding effort even during party itself this was finished so late that we only managed to start beta-testing when it was too late already.

Requires file "partygamehighscores", if not found RECREATES it so keep disk write-enabled.

"Lamedemo"

Release date: 1991
by Byterapers Australian Division, their first and luckily last demo.
Code: Mogwai & Control
Music: Heatbeat
Logo: Birdzone
More gfx: Control
Bobs: Control

This demo is lame, so lame. It was qualified lame and wasn't considered to be release-worthy, but since (B) was having severe inner problems it was released anyway to show world (B) was still up. In fact this demo was done already during 1990, and with very little effort. But there are things to be noted: first, Heatbeat was seemingly highly inspired when making this music since it is easily one of his career's early mastertracks. Also, while the Aussie-guys were bad coders, they were anyway very nice fellows which shows from the texts. So you could give in and watch the demo through, it ain't that long, music is lovely, texts are good but objects are simple :-) You can also note that the connection between Finnish and Australian members wasn't that good. :-)

Code: JTP
Music: Turtle
Logo: Jonez
Vertigo-logo: Drifter
Font: Drifter
Cows: Several unknowns

This is one of the less-famous but most-loved (B) releses. Who couldn't resist all those cows? This was done when JTP was visiting Grendel and done from the creation of crazy idea to finished product in about 2 days, most of which were wasted in calling people, uploading and downloading and desparately seeking some stupid but necessary utility that JTP had forgotten home. Love this! :-)

Made and released at a Silents-party in Alvesta/Sweden. After this intro almost all Finnish top-Amiga groups joined together to kill Bloodsuckers. Read scrolltext so you understand :-) Most interesting point was that, though both (B) and BS -guys wrote shit in the demo, no-one said anything about those bulls to us (B) - only hated BS really, really, really hard. :-) "no booze no party party hatedemo"

Musicdisks and Byterapers Chorus II

Muzzax 1-7 was the major achievement of Byterapers on Amiga. This musicdisk series, mainly released during 1989 was one of the cornerstones building Byterapers' reputation on this new platform. While the musics are today old-fashioned, many compositions were actually state-of-the-art of those days, and the continuing development of the Muzzax-engine meant that not only they offered a selection of great musics but also a lot of eye/braincandy for the code-wise.

Unfortunately Muzzax died a unhappy death for a year after Muzzax 6, because the again renewed engine couldn't save the fact that most musics were pretty bad. It took over one year before Muzzax 7 was released, but the comeback was then even more beautiful. While visually pretty dull, Muzzax 7 had best overall quality in musics than any Muzzax ever. The series was planned to continue further, but unfortunate happenings in Byterapers resulted that no more Muzzax were made. Fact being, it was pretty close whole Byterapers was disbanded. Happily tho, that was avoided and we present you the pearls of yesterday's musicians.

Muzzax V had first signs of trouble in the Muzzax series. While it used the terribly fine Muzzax IV engine, the graphics were crap and choises for music were very questionable. Muzzax 6 was the death-signal for Muzzax-series. It had again new engine, looked real fine and so on, but those musics? What the heck? There was a few good pieces, and actually one excellent + one good composing from Jugi, but Speed-Head's psychedelism had gone too far, with other musical quality going badly down. So Muzzax 6 had very mized response.

Muzzax 7 - Turtle's Mastertracks

Release date: 26.12.1990
Code: Hassan
Disk loader: Dweezil
Musics: Turtle
Graphics - animation: Trigon
Graphics - other: Rodder and Jay Jay
AGA: 0%

Judging by musical quality, Muzzax 7 was the finest musicdisk ever by (B). Consisting purely of Turtle's musics, all its composings were at least 'good', unlikes in Muzzax 1-6.

One funny thing was that some disk-magazine reviewer reviewed Muzzax 7, and said for example that "nowhere was mentioned whose songs the disk included". Like it wasn't mentioned in name, hinted in the beginning animation, and showed in upper screen for the whole darn time.

Included songs:
  Turtle / Byterapers

Muzzax 7 - the false start * NOT OFFICIAL, NEVER RELEASED *

Release date: 14.08.1991
Code: CSA
Musics: Speed-Head

Funnily, after seeing the Muzzax 7 Speed-Head & co. there in Sweden claimed it was 'false Muzzax' and releasing their own 'true Muzzax'. Luckily it wasn't much spread, or at least we hope so, because it was very much crap. Made with Muzzax I -engine, it had terrible graphics and substandard musics. It is neverthless demonstrated here, though it is NOT OFFICIAL RELEASE.

Included as a curiosity.

Byterapers Chorus II

Release date: 1989
by Zaints/Byterapers, Inc.
Code: ?
Speech: Booster, DMC, Mordillo
AGA: 100%

Easily one of our favourite products ever, Byterapers Chorus II continued the fame of original Byterapers Chorus (Pikku Kakkosen Posti), and even surpassed it with its plain booziness and fun!

It was sampled in TGEH's Party in Ornskoldsvik/Sweden.

Give me beer! Give me wine! No mercy! Give me a raper!
Byterapers: A Pain In Your Brain!

A Must!

Meteli - the Series

Meteli was a co-productive stupido fun series made by Grendel and T.O.B. They were simply stuuuupid samples about familiar things, often humorous parodies about familiar, well known scened00ds. At some moment they were done simply as 'by Grendel and T.O.B', and all (B) connections were cut to preserve other (B) members. The sad point was that those stupid ElItE-traders disregarded all descriptions and spread them as 'a Byterapers musicdisk' when they were absolutely nothing like them.
And definitely NOT music.

Note: THEY ARE IN FINNISH!

Except Meteli 4, you can disregard the AGA-mentions are samples are well, samples, and texts are ASCII. The menusystem just doesn't like AGA machines too much. Even Meteli 4 has all samples as IFFs.

Very much recommended for people enjoying bits of friendly fun and jokes.

Meteli 4 - Jumala Special

This needs some expnalation. Jarnis was a very friendly and round sceneman, much respected and liked. Still is, though is no more much seen in scene, remembered well in scene oldies circles tho.

Some day came this stupid idea: JARNIS IS GOD! So I started foning people and asking them questions about Jarnis' godhood.
